TOO LATE fingerboard

Some people are creative others are productive. Only few combine both attributes.

Chris Heck is such a lucky fellow able to make us gape again and again. The energy he puts into his work is amazing!

The people behind TOO LATE from Italy are huge fans of fingerboarding and they asked us to shoot a videoclip for their company. It sounds like the perfect job for Chris and the impressive result can be found here:

Battle at the Harric's

The impressive progress in fingerboarding leaves it´s marks on the calender of events.
Together with the worlds most bustling fingerboard filmer Harald Schön worldchampion and Radio-Skateboards ? activist Timo Kranz invites 64 of the most professional riders to participate in the ?Battle at the Harrics? on march 20 in Berlin.
It is the fingerboard equivalent of the ?Battle at the Berrics? we all know and love from skateboarding.
The winner takes it all and this time it is a lot: 1500 Euro will make the battle more intense.
Fingerboarders from more than 10 nations will take part at this event at the RAW area. The battle will start at 1 pm and spectators are welcome.
This tournament will clearly show the tricks of the pros are no fluke at all.

People were getting ready for Berlin already weeks before and we all could sense a positive tension in the air. The Battle was no doubts going to be something special.
One-on-one battles like this require to be drawn attention to in an outstanding way so instead of playing the GOS on a standard park a perfect marble table top was prepared. The marble surface also optimizes how clean tricks can be done.
It was extremely hot inside the building and the Red Bull logo on the marble table top reminded the riders to catch something to drink from time to time. With new energy the participants showed tricks never seen in a GOS before.
The Battle was a ?the winner takes it all? competitition but most people were extremely relaxed not going for the money at all.

I bet some of the kids are already training for the next battle!
Since an extra game of skate was played to determine 3rd and 4th place the final placings are like this:

We hope the list is complete and correct. If not please remember placings are not that important anyway. What really counts is the fact so many people showed up to make the Battle a remarkable piece of fingerboard history!

After Session at the Harric's...

A Great mix of tricks for a couple of german riders including my man Fabian Shreiter (in Berlin wood tshirt)

Well Hello there!!

Been on my mind for a long time, and decided to go for it, so the idea is a blog that covers news and cool features from around the globe about something some of love and some of us are just discovering, fingerboarding, and to talk a bit about my career as a fingerboarder, I'm Ben Hakam, started fingerboarding back in highschool (2002), my first board was fake then I had some of those crappy plastic ones to finally land on a techdeck, later on I joined the former WRC crew, owned by Julien Radiu, with skilled riders from many countries, it was a very good experience then I made my own griptage company called Rabid Dogz grips, with me, Ipe from Finland, Julien from France and a british rider, we produced a team video "Street Art", I'll upload soon on the blog, I also had a part in both videos of WRC, "Global Agression" and "Fingers Crossed" then got sponsored by Skatchboard, owned by Phil Savage, and also sponsored by Evolve fingerboards from Brazil, owned by Jader Muller at the same time, I was pretty active in the fingerboarding community, I was producing the monthly online magazine, "Otherside" and had to stop for some issues after the 7th Issue which covered the german scene, hope y'all will enjoy the blog, come back often for updates, new posts/videos, you can also follow us and share the blog with your friends on Facebook or Twitter, later ladiezzz and fellazzz!
